Why I started Little Laws and what is in store for 2017

2 years ago I started Little Laws with one sole aim, I simply wanted to remind myself of all the little things in life which make me happy in life. Everyone has their trials and tribulations and I found myself concentrating on the bad things in life instead of the good.
2 years on I have met some incredible people, seen some inspirational things and hopefully spread happiness along the way, creating Little Laws has changed my life for the better. It was never meant to be a specific blog covering one subject, I simply wanted my blog to grow organically and see what I did week in week out. I think that beautiful things, new ideas and being sympathetic to those around me brings happiness to my life daily.
So even though I don’t post as often as I would like (sorry! work and other things have taken over but I hope this year I will try harder) I wanted my first post of the new year to share 6 lessons I have learnt in the last two years while writing this blog:
  1. There is always a silver lining to every situation – no matter whether you feel down and out and feel like there is no way out of it, trust me there is always something good, even if you find out who is there to hold your hand through hard times.
  2. Look after number 1, put yourself first and don’t doubt yourself, stay happy and healthy and you’ll be surprised how much brighter your world is.
  3. Always be kind to people. A smile, a kind gesture nowadays honestly gets you a long way.
  4. Say yes to things more. Don’t let things pass you by, go for that new adventure, eat that extra dish or dessert, go out and get to know that person you just met a little better, you never know what might happen.
  5. Keep smiling. Just keep yourself smiling, when you find yourself walking down the road and smiling to yourself, you know it is a good day. Trust me – I’ve done it.
  6. Take photos where ever you see something beautiful – even though you don’t have a blog or a Instagram keep these moments for yourself.
I have learnt so much while doing this blog, from teaching myself new skills to meeting new people and spreading my wings. I hope that 2017 is a year where I put all those lessons into action and smile a lot more.
Happy new year to all my followers and I hope that 2017 is a good one for all of us.
Follow me on instagram or twitter to keep up with me daily – can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me.
