Hunting treasure at the Victoria and Albert Museum with Natural Amber

You always need a special place or two to escape everyday life for a few hours. One of my go to places in London is the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington. Not only is it free to visit and there is loads to see, but it is the perfect place to find some treasures.
I always start with some fuel,  get yourself to the cafe through the beautiful sun trap of a courtyard where you can sit with a cup of tea or coffee while soaking up the sun.
Don’t miss going into the cafe and seeing the beautiful main room which has a grand piano playing in the background. It is a pretty beautiful sight, my favourite is sitting there with a cup of tea and a scone admiring my surroundings, or taking the time to admire my new little treasure in these surroundings.
I found this treasure of a necklace from ‘Natural Amber’ this special double coin necklace made of lucky sixpence coins. Hand crafted by the ‘Natural Amber’ in house jewellery team these 2 genuine sixpence coins are joined together and seamlessly added to a 18 inch chain which is the perfect length for it to sit nicely on your body.
The coins can be plated in different metals to make it individual to you, I couldn’t stop touching my little piece of lucky treasure while I wandered around the museum rooms.
The V and A permanent collection is vast and sometimes gets overlooked, but there is so much to see that you don’t have to pay for. From treasures of gold and silver pieces…
To one of my favourite rooms which large stone replicas of famous statues.
You can also get up close and personal to the exhibits who might want to get their wings on your jewellery!
Look everywhere for treasures, including the drawers which hold medals and other treasures.
Paintings, jewellery, and even iron work, all housed in the most beautiful listed building with textures and patterns everywhere you look.
Littlelaws_Natural_amber_vna_13I even found a fountain full of lucky coins which people have wished on. I couldn’t bring myself round to throwing my necklace in, I mean why would I want to give up this little treasure anyway? I have all the luck I need.
